Hamble Heights has its very own traditional sweet shop cart! Filled with classic sweets such as Jelly Beans, Lemon Sherbets and Dolly Mixtures, the fabulous new candy cart has been loving restored and re-painted to make a wonderful addition to the home.
This fantastic find was too good an opportunity to let go – and with a lot of love and attention from Vanessa (with her overalls and a paint brush!), it brings charming character to the home – and looks fabulous next to the vintage Tea Room!
We’re always looking for new things to bring smiles to our residents’ faces and add an extra touch of homeliness to Hamble Heights.
The sweets are free to everyone, and for those residents that would like to visit the ‘sweet shop’, our lovely carers bring them downstairs so that they can pick the sweets that many remember from their childhood. The old-school pink and white striped paper bags allow residents to choose their sweets to take back with them to enjoy on their floor or in their room.
There are so many retro sweet favourites to try and reminisce over! Therefore, different sweets will be added all the time to give residents lots of mouth-watering choice.
