At Encore, we are changing lives and influencing the culture of care across the county. We strive for outstanding in everything we do and build strong, innovative partnerships with local NHS healthcare experts and universities to ensure we remain at the forefront of clinical excellence to provide our residents with the highest standards of care.
We believe that exceptional care begins at the top and filters all the way through our care homes. That is why we are looking for remarkable Care Home Managers, to ensure the care we deliver is nothing short of outstanding – from management, through to the nurses and care staff, down to the domestic and catering teams. Every person within a care home is responsible for delivering the highest standards of care, and we need driven care home leaders to help us to achieve it.
As a strong and ambitious leader, you will be passionate about delivering person-centred care and will drive quality and continuous improvement throughout the home. You will take ownership and lead our prestigious homes. As our Care Home Manager, you will have a voice and influence across the clinical care group and beyond.
To be successful, you need confidence in your own skills and performance, and share in our pride and passion for delivering great care. You will possess strong leadership skills to bring out the best in our staff and demonstrate our value of being part of a family at Encore.
You will be part of an impressive, growing company and supported by a remarkable team. You will be in a privileged position where you can genuinely improve the happiness and wellbeing of those in your care.
As Care Home Manager, your focus will be to manage the delivery of a first-class, comprehensive dementia and nursing care service within our residential care homes.
We want to empower and enable our Care Home Managers to focus on delivering the very best care. As such, unlike a conventional Home Manager role, you will have the full support and access to our Encore central services team, which will alleviate the burden of certain operational responsibilities. These unprecedented levels or operational assistance to our Care Home Managers include workforce planning, sales and marketing, HR and recruitment. Consequently, allowing you to focus on bringing inspirational leadership and influence to support our teams in delivering the very best care to our residents.
You will need a heart of gold to work for Encore. We only employ those with the kindest, most caring natures and who are passionate about bringing smiles to residents faces every day. You will have previous experience in a similar role or nursing home management and will hold a valid RGN or RMN NMC Registration.
You will use your initiative to develop the care home as occupancy increases and will be driven to successfully manage a home that sets the highest of standards – not only within the care that we provide, but also in terms of our ethos and the importance of making every moment matter.
Summary of duties:
We design, build, and operate our own care homes – which are run by only the most committed and kindest professionals in care.
Encore Care Homes has worked in partnership with The Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch NHS Foundation Trust (RBCH) since 2015. Not only has Encore’s joint venture with the NHS helped to secure NHS services for the community on the Christchurch Hospital site; including a new GP Surgery, a new pharmacy and X-ray facilities; but most recently, Encore has partnered with NHS locally to assist them in the nation’s fight against COVID-19 by taking non-Covid admissions to free up hospital beds and help the NHS to focus on saving lives.
As a dementia resource for the community, and in our continued efforts to become a centre of excellence, we have partnered with Bournemouth University and are members of the clinical working group. It is our ambition to align our dementia strategy and processes with best practice and cutting-edge research from the Ageing and Dementia Research Centre at Bournemouth University.
We provide the finest care, comfort, companionship and deliver expertise in all five types of elderly care: dementia, nursing, residential, respite and palliative. We pride ourselves on the amazing people who work at each of our care homes. Our teams are integral to making the everyday a special day for residents, and making moments really matter.
We are dedicated to making every person feel unique and cared for. A smile has a ripple effect throughout a care home. When our teams are happy, so are our residents. As such, we value and reward our staff because we know that if our teams feel appreciated and joyful each day, then in turn, so will our residents.
We are ambitious and are working hard to become the leading residential care group in the South of England. We need equally ambitious Care Home Managers to join us on the journey and help us to achieve this.
We believe our team of experts should be recognised and valued. We want you to be happy at work and to truly believe that you are making a huge difference to so many people’s lives – not just our residents’ lives, but their loved ones too, as well as your dedicated team of nurses, carers and supporting roles. You will have a real voice at Encore Care Homes – and we will listen.
We want to encourage the best people to work at Encore Care Homes. As such, we provide the following:
