Supporting National Dementia Awareness Week

Yesterday at Hamble Heights, we held an Afternoon Tea and Raffle in support of National Dementia Awareness Week.

Supported nationally throughout the week, this fundraising event is held in association with the Alzheimer’s Society and aims to raise awareness of the condition and how it can affect those living with dementia.  National Dementia Week also celebrates the positives – that life does not end when dementia begins and that it’s possible to still try new things and have new experiences.

Our wonderful fundraising event yesterday included delicious cakes, tea and a Raffle for residents, families and staff to enjoy.  The day was a big success with so many tasty treats and we raised a fantastic £147 for the Residents’ Fund – which goes towards activities, events and entertainers for the residents of Hamble Heights.

Thanks to everyone involved – whether you baked the cakes….or ate them!
