We take pride in tailoring our care plans to suit you or your loved one’s individual needs; offering as much or as little care as needed.

We offer specialist nursing care from qualified nurses, who are on-hand 24 hours a day to support to you, or your loved one. Our nursing team are fully complemented by a team of care assistants to ensure personal care is delivered accordingly to every person’s individual care plan and needs.

Our purpose-built Alzheimer’s care home in Bournemouth offers dementia friendly rooms and facilities, including the layout of the building, sensitive décor and interior design to provide a familiar and safe environment. Our nurses take time to get to know each resident, helping to design a personalised care plan that suits their individual needs and preferences.

If you or your loved one require palliative care in Bournemouth, we are here to support you at every step of the way. Meet the Home Manager, Lesley Brock

Lesley, Manager of Oakdale

Lesley says: “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. My focus is on making those moments matter for our residents.”

With over 40 years’ in care, ranging from her nurse training to owning her own business in domiciliary care, Lesley brings a range of experience to Oakdale. She’s managed other nursing homes, dementia-specific homes and has set up domiciliary care agencies throughout the south west of England.

She believes that being a strong team is important and that managers in care must be “everything and more” to their team, to residents and their families.
