2020 was a challenging year and the significance of keeping families together has never been so poignant and widely acknowledged.
Nothing is more important to us than the wellbeing of our residents. And nothing can replace the reassurance and health benefits of seeing loved ones face-to-face.
Our innovative COVID-secure Visiting Lounges offer a place where relatives can visit, all year round – regardless of the COVID status of the home or local community.
There is no safer place than at an Encore Care Home
As well as the standard weekly staff COVID-19 tests, we are rolling out ‘Rapid Testing’ twice a week for staff, which produces the results within 30 minutes. The implementation of the Lateral Flow Device (LFD) tests in our homes further enhances our ability to reduce the risk of asymptomatic transmission of the virus – making our homes one of the safest places to reside.
We are fully prepared and already supporting our care homes to access COVID-19 vaccination appointments. Encore staff AND residents have already begun to receive the vaccine – which promises for a more hopeful, healthier, and happier year ahead.

to live well
A need for support is not always just physical – and our care teams recognise this. Compassion, respect, dignity, and companionship are at the heart of our culture of care – both towards our residents and their families and friends.
We tailor our care plans around residents’ specific requirements. Residents have their own large, private bedroom with en suite wet-room. The shared living and dining rooms offer a place to meet up with other like-minded individuals for a cuppa and a chat. Our dedicated wellbeing coordinators also offer daily activities and entertainment, should residents wish to take part.
Time to be you
Choosing the right home is one of the most important decisions to make. If you or a loved one would like to experience our home first, we invite you to stay for 4 weeks, and only pay for 3; providing the opportunity to relax, get to know friendly faces, and enjoy time with us – making sure it fulfils all your needs.
