Yesterday Encore celebrated the Grand Opening of Fairmile Grange care home, on the grounds at Christchurch Hospital.  It was an exciting event and embraced the theme of Tastes from Around the World.

More than 80 guests joined the party. The Mayor of Christchurch and the first resident of Fairmile Grange, Jack Wright, cut the ribbon to declare the care home open.  After his opening speech, Chief Executive, David Hines, was presented with a birthday cake to mark another important occasion!

Glitz, Glamour and Gourmet Cuisine

Latin spectacular, Carma Dance, brought the party vibe. Guests enjoyed a treat for the eyes and the taste buds with delicious dishes freshly made by our professional chefs; Head Chef Alex Every and John.

Many new visitors attended the Grand Opening. The residents joined in the festivities; enjoying the music and energy of the professional dancers. Friends from Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust also attended, as well as our partner from Grove Surgery, Dr Stephen Tomkins and his team of GPs.

Soft jazz musicians, Sharp 9 Duo, provided soothing tones.  Guests had the opportunity to meet the care team, led by Home Manager Becky Robson, and take a tour of the fantastic new care home.

It was a wonderful celebration of the official opening of Fairmile Grange and share the occasion with residents, staff, friends and visitors.
