Rachel joined Encore in 2018 having previously led Silverline Care, an award-winning care home operator with homes in Scotland and Yorkshire.
Rachel has worked in the care sector for 14 years and loves building and leading teams by uniting them with common purpose and values. Rachel understands and champions the importance of communication in fostering a positive, engaged culture. She believes in empowering others and making an organisation a great place to work.

I believe in looking after our staff so they feel valued and respected and are then able to provide the best possible care to our residents.”
Outside of work Rachel has two young children and when time permits, enjoys running, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Claire brings 15 years’ experience as a finance professional across various sectors including financial services, retail and fast moving consumer goods. Prior to that she was an audit manager and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Claire now heads the Encore finance team; ensuring all finance operations within the care home portfolio are run efficiently to provide the finest care for residents from the best healthcare professionals.
Sophie has previous experience at Anchor Trust where she worked for five years as a Team Housing Manager. At the beginning of her career, Sophie worked as a Night Health Carer Assistant whilst she studied at College for four years. Sophie began working in recruitment as a consultant in the care sector and progressed to be a Recruitment Manager for Reed Healthcare.
“As I have worked in the care industry myself, I found I was well-suited to care recruitment. I understand the sector and really enjoy the challenge. I feel very passionate about supporting people to find the right career for them and achieve the skills that they need.”
Kavita holds a degree in HR and Marketing and a Postgraduate CIPD qualification. Kavita has worked in Learning and Development for over 14 years in various sectors; however, her passion and main career is within the Health and Social Care sector. Kavita’s expertise covers learning interventions in Care, Housing, Support, HR, Management Development, Leadership Development and Soft Skills and brings a wealth of experience to Encore.
Alaina joined the company in 2014 and has gained knowledge and experience of marketing in the care sector; both in terms of acquiring new residents and recruiting the best care staff. Alaina’s key objectives include ensuring fast fill-up rates at Encore care homes and maintaining full resident occupancy. Sustaining the balance and great ratio of residents to staff is not only essential to achieve the financial goals of the business but also to ensure that the health and happiness of the residents’ remains top priority.
Niki is a registered nurse with a strong passion to look after people. Her career has taken many paths in both the NHS, independent healthcare and social care sectors. Niki has been involved in regulating and supporting care homes to deliver high standards of care homes since 1998. In her last post, she worked for the charity, The Brendoncare Foundation; supporting the managers of ten care homes and two independent living services to achieve high levels of compliance and provide quality care.
Niki and her husband have also started a new adventure at home; having recently moved so that her very youthful 81-year-old mother can live with them too.
