David was pivotal in the care home brand creation and the launch of Encore’s first home in 2013. Prior to joining Quantum David was National Head of Residential Development for Savills plc, operating and specialising across the Care, Commercial, Residential and Retirement sectors.
David served from 2008–2014 as a Governor of Bournemouth University, from whom he holds the honorary award of Doctor of Education. He has considerable public sector experience and expertise in joint venture development.
Izzy has worked in leadership roles in healthcare for the past ten years, delivering services including acute and secure mental health services to both adults and young people, domiciliary care and services to elderly and young physically disabled people living in nursing homes. She has worked for large providers,
charities and developing organisations, so has a wide depth and breadth of operational knowledge.
Motivated by the delivery of high quality care, Izzy believes that we should care for people as if they were our own loved ones, in their own home. As Quality Operations Director, her aim is to create beautiful environments in which residents can live joyful and fulfilled lives.
Claire brings 15 years’ experience as a finance professional across various sectors including financial services, retail and fast moving consumer goods. Prior to that she was an audit manager and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Claire now heads the Encore finance team; ensuring all finance operations within the care home portfolio are run efficiently to provide the finest care for residents from the best healthcare professionals.
Alaina joined the company in 2014 and has gained knowledge and experience of marketing in the care sector; both in terms of acquiring new residents and recruiting the best care staff. Alaina’s key objectives include ensuring fast fill-up rates at Encore care homes and maintaining full resident occupancy. Sustaining the balance and great ratio of residents to staff is not only essential to achieve the financial goals of the business but also to ensure that the health and happiness of the residents’ remains top priority.
Kavita holds a degree in HR and Marketing and a Postgraduate CIPD qualification. Kavita has worked in Learning and Development for over 14 years in various sectors; however, her passion and main career is within the Health and Social Care sector. Kavita’s expertise covers learning interventions in Care, Housing, Support, HR, Management Development, Leadership Development and Soft Skills and brings a wealth of experience to Encore.
Dr Stephen Tomkins
As a practicing GP, Stephen has established himself as one of the leading clinicians in his profession. He is a Program Director for Bournemouth University and is a Clinical Chair on the Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. Dr Tomkins’ role within Encore ensures both the focus and delivery of clinical excellence standards.
As a partner, Dr Tomkins is a great deal more involved in the wellbeing of our residents. Not only do the residents at Fairmile Grange benefit from responsive, regular visits by the GPs at Grove Surgery but in addition to this, Dr Tomkins meets with every resident and personally audits their individual Care Plan to ensure that our standards of care are exemplary. Dr Tomkins also provides mentoring, training and development to all of our care staff at Fairmile Grange; certifying that delivering the finest care is at the very heart of what we do.
Arlene joined Encore as CFO in 2015, following 16 years at Euromoney Institutional Investor Plc, where she worked across a number of their businesses in the UK and overseas, most recently, as COO/CFO for their Capital Markets Group.
Prior to that she was an Audit Manager at KPMG in London, focusing on financial clients. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ireland, Arlene is also a member of the Institute of Taxation.
