Supporting Inter Care Charity

Hamble Heights care home has become an official regular donor of surplus medical supplies to Inter Care charity…

Inter Care is a unique charity, which was established over 40 years ago.   It sends high quality medical aid to rural African health units; such as in Cameroon, Ghana, Malawi, Sierra Leone, Tanzania and Zambia. These units include hospitals, health centres, infirmaries, prisons, dispensaries.  It also sends aid to schools, centres for the disabled, centres for orphaned and vulnerable children and a Fistula Care Centre.

Making a difference for charity

Sebastian, Home Manager at Hamble Heights, wanted to help to make a difference. The nursing and care teams at the home decided to register with Inter Care in order to make regular donations of surplus medical supplies.

Inter Care are able to accept items such as blood pressure meters and non-mercury thermometers; as well as bandages, dressings, small syringes, uniforms and devices.

Hamble Heights has boxed up clothes, sheets, bandages and surplus medical supplies for the charity.  Inter County will therefore be collecting Hamble Heights’ first big donation today!  We look forward to supporting Inter Care with further donations in the future.
