Residents across Encore Care Homes enjoy toasting the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Our residents had a wonderful time playing games and raising a toast to the Queen to mark the Platinum Jubilee.

Across all four of our care homes, our fantastic Wellbeing teams went the extra mile to make sure that all of our residents could join in the celebrations.

Great Oaks’ residents enjoyed a host of activities including watching the Trooping the Colour parade, live music from Nick Sellers, and an outdoor party attended by friends and family.

At Oakdale, located in Poole, the residents watched the full programme of TV coverage as well as hosting their own jubilee party, complete with an impressive union jack berry cake that the home’s chef created for the occasion.

Over at Fairmile Grange, based in Christchurch, the team planted a variety of red, white and blue flowers in the garden for the residents to enjoy before the celebrations started with a party complete with live music from Paul Walker.

Meanwhile at Hamble Heights, based in Fareham, residents enjoyed an indoor street party to mark the Platinum Jubilee. The residents also made crowns, shared the Queen’s favourite cakes, and placed fun bets in honour of the Epsom races.

Our team provide care for residential, nursing, dementia and Alzheimer’s, palliative, and respite residents. This includes a dedicated Wellbeing team in each of our care homes who are on hand to organise fun activities to support each resident’s physical, emotional, and holistic wellbeing.
