New Clinical Operations Manager joins Encore Care Homes team

We would like to give a really big welcome to our new Clinical Operations Manager who will oversee and support the work of our care home teams.

Encore welcomes new Clinical Operations Manager

Lisa Barnes-Metcalf brings more than 30 years of care experience to the team. She will work in the newly-created role with the care home managers, Registered Nurses, and the senior clinical team to provide operational support, guidance, training, and development.

Lisa’s career has seen her work her way up through all job roles within the care industry, starting as a care assistant before training as a Registered Nurse at Poole Hospital and progressing into more senior roles at hospitals in both Bournemouth and Poole.

Lisa advanced to senior-level management whilst working for several local care home providers, where she saw many of the care homes receive ‘Outstanding’ ratings from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Meet Lisa: Clinical Operations Manager

Lisa said: “I am thrilled to join the Encore Care Homes team and I’m pleased to say that I’ve received a warm welcome from the residents and the team across all four of our care homes. Every member of the team does such a brilliant job to provide a homely environment to the residents and I’m pleased that I can support the fantastic work that they do. My priority is always with the residents to make sure that they receive excellent care from well-trained staff, so I look forward to seeing the Encore team go from strength-to-strength.”

Lisa is joining Mike Lyons, Managing Director, and Lindsay Rees, Director of Health and Care, in our senior team.

Joining the Encore Care Homes Team

Lindsay Rees said: “I am delighted to welcome Lisa to Encore Care Homes. She brings with her the winning combination of operational leadership experience and clinical expertise. This experience combined with her commitment to driving forward high standards of care and compliance with regulation makes her the ideal person to lead and mentor our Home Managers and Clinical leads. Lisa and I are dedicated to providing outstanding care for the residents in our homes and I am really excited to work with her.”

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys going on trips away in the family motorhome with her husband, 15-year-old daughter, and two chocolate Labradors, when Covid restrictions allow. She also enjoys making cakes and loves spending time growing fruit and vegetables in the greenhouse in the garden.
