The Easter chicks at Hamble Heights have begun to hatch!
Timing is everything…and as the Easter weekend approaches, the first three babies have emerged from their eggs!
Residents and staff alike have been watching intently as the little yellow chicks have started the important journey of breaking through their shells. Met with a multitude of “oohhs” and “ahhhs”, they have brought smiles to everyone’s faces. We’ve been watching with bated breath as each one makes its break for freedom! Some staff members have even found the experience to be extremely moving. Gathered around the incubator in anticipation, the residents continue to enjoy witnessing this exceptional event at Hamble Heights.
The mesmerizing, ‘egg-stra’ special event continues….and with Easter only a few days away, we hope that our clutch of eggs will become a full brood of fluffy yellow chicks in time to celebrate Easter with the residents!
