Hamble Heights hosts ‘Tastes from Around the World’

Hamble Heights care home in Fareham celebrated National Care Home Open Day by hosting ‘Tastes from Around the World’ for members of the community, residents and their family and friends.

The free event at Encore Care Home’s specialist nursing and dementia home in Fareham, Hamble Heights, brought together members of the community, as well as residents, their loved ones and team members.

The event was attended by more than 50 people.  Members of the Hamble Heights team cooked their favourite national dishes from around the world.  Furthermore, the theme was embraced as staff wore traditional national costumes.  The celebratory day was open to the community; providing the opportunity to look around the home and meet the care team.

Guests enjoyed live music from professional singer, Debbie Cobbett, delicious food and drink and a party vibe.

Sebastian Wiencelewski, care home manager of Hamble Heights, said: “It was fantastic to welcome so many people to our home and enjoy the theme of the open day with our residents and guests.

“National Care Home Open Day is all about opening our home to the community. Our residents are always pleased to see visitors from the local community and it was a great opportunity for everyone to come together to mark this celebration.”
