As lockdown eases across the UK, we are proud to be able to safely welcome new residents to join the Encore family. Like many care homes, we had to close our doors to all but essential visitors at the start of the pandemic to protect our residents.
Our dedicated care teams have worked tirelessly to ensure that residents have had regular contact with their families by phone or video call. As life has been a little different in recent months for our residents who have not been able to have their regular visits from friends and family, we have made sure that they have not been bored at all! Throughout all our care homes we have maintained a vibrant atmosphere with the sound of laughter, singing and social activities in place.
We now feel that it is the right time to welcome new residents into a safe, loving, and fun home environment. We have put in extra new health and safety measures, so loved ones are protected, and we also follow strict PPE and cleaning procedures.
With social-distancing still paramount, as a new resident you can feel comfortable in your own spacious bedroom with private wet room en-suite, helping with infection control and providing privacy. You can also enjoy freshly cooked nutritional meals everyday by our in-house chefs, where we continually vary the menus.
Our care homes have been purposely designed so residents can be part of a smaller community on each floor, allowing for more homely and welcoming feel. Residents who make an Encore care home their new home can feel comfortable in one of the many cosy lounges, café, or dining areas with familiar, like-minded companions. This also allows for our care team to provide a better service due to smaller numbers of residents in each community; allowing our nurses and carers to get to know each person and offer a high level of responsiveness and care.
All our care teams are comprehensively trained and get to know a resident’s needs which they manage through personal care plans. These plans are adapted when the needs change. The wellbeing and happiness of residents is of utmost importance at every Encore care home.
