We have received numerous enquiries from local residents about Hamble Heights since we finished building and it is with great pleasure that this week we welcome our first residents. It is fantastic to hear from so many people and we have loved showing everyone around the building – the feedback we have received has been amazing and we are very proud.
This week we were over the moon to be featured in the news. Both COMPASS magazine and The Western Wards Gazette wrote about Hamble Heights being the next new luxury care home in Park Gate and our upcoming opening. We are really pleased about what they said, as they have really captured the essence and ethos of what we are trying to do here at Hamble Heights.
Since our last update the team has been really busy unpacking everything and they are finally finished! With boxes upon boxes of pillows to fluff, chairs to build, tables to erect and curtains to put up, the Christmas and New Year period was pretty hectic to say the least.
Every individual room is now complete with a modern electric powered bed, elegant wardrobe and desk, comfortable arm chair and loads of other great little details – they make each room feel warm, welcoming and special. The lounge areas have been filled with plush, stylish and comfortable chairs as well as some great unique furnishings, that really make the rooms look fabulous. You will also be impressed with how light and relaxing the dining areas look and feel too!
With the run up to our launch, in mid-January, we are all busy bees at Hamble Heights. The team is growing with new recruits every day and our furniture and furnishings have now arrived. From the stunning bed linen and curtains to the communal chairs and bistro tables we are busy, busy, busy unpacking.
Everyone loves their garden and being in the invigorating fresh air make us all feel healthy and full of energy. So to bring to life the beautiful gardens and complement the surrounding local flora, we have imported some stunning mature trees from Italy – and they have now arrived! We believe it is important for residents and families to be able to enjoy the sunshine and outdoors, as well as to live in a beautiful setting. The trees we have selected really do bring out the best of Hamble Heights.
Opening in January 2013, Hamble Heights is a new luxury residential care home based in Park Gate, Southampton. With the aim of delivering the highest degrees of residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, Hamble Heights has a vision of creating a “home from home” environment.
