Our 1st birthday

On Saturday 26th April Hamble Heights, one of Southampton’s most luxurious care homes, is celebrating our 1st birthday! Since opening our doors in 2013, we have been gaining recognition by both our residents and the professional community alike. Therefore to share in our success, Hamble Heights is throwing an ‘afternoon birthday tea party’ to say thank you to the residents, their friends and family and all our staff.

55 residents are expected to be living at Hamble Heights by its the end of April , making our top quality care home a resounding success story. Moira Baxter, General Manager, said “I can’t believe it is already a year on and that we will have so many residents calling us home. All the staff at Hamble Heights are proud of what we have achieved and can’t wait to celebrate with our residents on the 26th”.

Hamble Heights has focused on creating a wonderful, ‘home from home’ environment as well as offering the highest quality of care. That is why at Hamble Heights we work in conjunction with Bournemouth University’s Dementia Institute to ensure all the staff are given the most advance training available. In addition, Hamble Heights is also funding a unique research programme to help identify new and better ways of training and caring for residents affected by dementia.

CEO David Hines said “Dementia is in the news almost every day – it is such an issue for today’s ageing population. That is why I am proud that Hamble Heights plays such an important part in enriching the lives of our residents as well as helping take greater steps forward in understanding how best to care for those affected by Dementia.”   Guests are welcome to visit Hamble Heights on 26th April, from 13:30 – 15:30 to join the team for its afternoon birthday tea party.
