Great Oaks is set in a private woodland setting with 180-degree views of its leafy surroundings, The home boasts a beautiful courtyard and landscaped garden with raised flowerbeds, perfect for joining in with the gardening if you would like to.
Our friendly nurse-led team of care experts is on-hand to provide excellent standards of care 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. Our carers will take time to get to know you and your likes, dislikes and daily routine to ensure you feel at home from day one.
The home’s Wellbeing team organise a range of activities and events on daily basis, with visiting singers, quizzes and games, pet visits or pamper sessions so there’s something to look forward to every day.

If you are finding aspects of day-to-day life at home difficult, our Bournemouth residential care home allows you to be independent for longer within a comforting, welcoming environment. Our purpose-built Alzheimer’s care home in Bournemouth offers dementia friendly rooms and facilities, including the layout of the building, sensitive décor and interior design to provide a familiar and safe environment. Our nurses take time to get to know each resident, helping to design a personalised care plan that suits their individual needs and preferences.

Meet the Home Manager, James Glanville
James says “Great Oaks is such a beautiful home and it is a privilege to be involved with its next steps as we move forward. Care is about compassion, empathy, and a raft of various emotions but just as importantly, it is about people. Great Oaks is about our residents, their loved ones and our team who are essentially the backbone of the home.”
James is an experienced professional Care Home Manager, with over 20 years’ experience of working in senior leadership roles in the Social Care sector.
He brings exceptionally strong management skills, with extensive experience across varied settings, including comprehensive knowledge of the day-to-day management requirements within a large care home such as Great Oaks. He has great experience of leading, and quickly builds a cohesive workforce, that work well together as one team.
