Encore Festive Music Video Competition

We asked them to use their creativity and sense of fun to film a festive video in the homes. They could be classic, or whacky; naughty or nice – the important aspect was to have some fun! Teams were allowed to use props, visual effects and anything they needed to make their video stand out. They could also feature residents with photo consent if they also wanted to take part too.

It was a close-run contest; with each and every video bringing a different element of fun and imagination. It really demonstrated what fantastic, joyous, friendly teams we have working in all of our homes. Thank you to everyone who took part and made such an effort (including those behind the cameras!).

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Encore Festive Music Video Competition is the Christmas Conga at Christchurch!

It was extremely close but what just pipped the other videos to the post was that it was great to see residents taking part in the video and looking so happy. As we all know, our ethos is to bring smiles to residents’ faces, and it was wonderful to see this in the Fairmile Grange Wellbeing Team’s video.

We would like to also give a special mention to the runners-up, the Great Oaks Night Team. We were incredibly impressed by the thought and creativity that went into their video submission. There was a brilliant storyboard behind it, which was great to watch. They also made the fireplace surround, which residents on the first floor absolutely love. There will be a small prize delivered to the runners-up in the New Year….

You can see a montage video featuring clips from all the submissions below:
